Character: Ed the Hyena.
Series: The Lion King.
Version: Before the events of TLK, after meeting Shenzi and Banzai.
Age: ....who knows. Three to four years old.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: ...god only knows. But, being an animal, probably heterosexual. But come on. THIS IS ED WE’RE TALKING ABOUT.

Appearance: Because of his entrance into Paixao, Ed the Hyena is now Ed the human-who-used-to-be-a-hyena. Still carrying traits of his former animal-hood, Ed is a normal height for a human, around 5’6”. He still has his hyena-ears, however, that flop around constantly on the sides of his head. Both ears are covered with grey fur and have two cut marks in them. His now-human head is dark-skinned as is the rest of his body, along with black hair that is constantly messy, long, and almost ridiculously spiky.

His eyes are also large, with yellow irises. Ed has a constant grin on his face that displays large, sharp fang-like teeth.

The hyena, unfortunately, also retains his tail, which is a mess of black fur that extends as if it were a part of his spine, coming out right above his rump. Transferring from the spots he had as an animal, his back is decorated with dark brown spots. Ed, however, is unable to walk on two legs, and instead scrambles much in the way of a crab (though the tail does help him somewhat to stay on his hands and feet).

Personality: The first thing one may notice about Ed is that he... doesn’t seem all there in the head. He only finds EVERYTHING amusing, and is constantly grinning a fangy grin. He finds the abuse of his ‘friends’ particularly entertaining, and has no problem at laughing even in the face of danger.

It can be questioned, however, if his stupidity is an act or not. Though he never speaks (and when he tries to, it comes out in laughs or snorts) he always seems to understand whatever situation he finds himself in, and what others say to him.

Basically, he’s annoying and laughs at everything.

Abilities/Weaponry: His teeth, and his claws. He can barely walk on two legs, let alone swing a weapon. He’s just used to getting his own food with his natural weapons.

Weaknesses: Pretty much... a lot. Lions, for one. As a hyena, he has an innate fear but also a curiosity with them. He’s not afraid to fight them for food, though he’d probably be better off running from a fight. Also, he’s now a human, or rather human-shaped, and is finding it VERY awkward. Therefore, he’s slow. Physically and mentally.

History: He was born. He was a runt. Small, and almost certainly not as fast as other hyenas in his clan, he was pretty much regarded as prey for some other animal if his own family didn’t get hungry enough first.

They never did, however, and he was free the grow for a good year before he was effectively left behind in the midst of a hunt of wildebeest. But Ed really didn't seem to care. Someone, he was able to take care of himself (this being a surprise since he seems completely mentally uncapable of taking care of himself) until he met Shenzi and Banzai, the two hyenas who would become his “family” as he was accepted into a new herd, under the rule of a lion, of all creatures.

Again, Ed had no complaints.
